Messages from spirit: Humbled in awe.

I had written this in my journal for myself during Covid and recently discovered it and thought worth sharing. I was given permission by a friend to post this beautiful message from their loved one on the other side.

It’s late Sunday night, I gave an unplanned reading via text to a dear friend who was about to undergo major surgery the next morning. It's scary for anyone who has to be hospitalized under "normal" circumstances, but with all the restrictions right now, how scary it must feel for anyone knowing that their family can't physically be there to bring comfort or visit them in the hospital.

My intent was me attempting to be my dorky and uncomfortable self, trying to figure out what stupid animated meme I could send them to make them laugh and keep their mind off things. But shortly into it, they shared with me that they smelled an uncle's cologne around them who had passed away many years ago and thought it was very odd. Well, boom, that's all it took. In comes the spirit and the energy of their uncle, fast and fierce—and the details about his life couldn't be typed fast enough. I have to admit it was so much more meaningful and funnier than anything I could have come up with on my own attempts to ease the night (thank you, spirit!!!), and then the uncle shared that he would be in the operating room with them every step of the way. It was wonderfully confirming, and I hoped it helped even for just that moment to take off the edge. "Little did I know that there was going to be more to come." The one thing I couldn't get out of my mind or interpret from the spirit during the reading via text was that the uncle kept repeatedly showing me a vision of a clock that didn't work and asked to share it as a sign that he was, in fact, there with them. It seemed so important, repeated over and over again to me, but the dots weren't connecting, and it didn't resonate, so we just let it go and moved on.

Early last night, I received a "facetime call" only hours after their surgery—the surgery went well, by the way. Half out of it but so excited to share with me and worried that they were going to forget what they "saw" (they won't). While they were under anesthesia, my friend had an experience! Is this not exciting?? I know! Skimming the details—They said they met their uncle (surprised? uhm, no!!) and together they walked down a series of roads near golden wheat fields, and they just talked and talked for what felt like hours. My friend began to describe how real it felt and that they knew the whole time that their uncle was there throughout the entire surgery. They shared with me while tears were running down their face. It was beyond beautiful to witness. And, right before we hung up, my friend randomly looked off in the distance and oddly panned the phone screen to show me the hospital room and casually focused on the clock on the wall, which was 'stopped and several hours off, not working!' They couldn't stop talking about how odd it was for an intensive care unit that the clock wouldn't be working. Then we both recalled the conversation from the night before and simultaneously gasped, started to laugh, and both yelled, 'OMG—your uncle!!!' The dots connect!!!"

We were both a soggy mess. When something like this occurs, I am reminded with great humility what a gift this truly is to be a Medium. Believe or not believe, but for me and experiences like this for others, it demonstrates in so many ways that our souls truly are infinite, that there is something so much greater than us, and that we're never ever alone. ❤️

Paving the way

Sometimes, the universe's most precious gift is when there are no obvious signs. As we navigate through life, it's important for us to learn to trust our inner compass, our intuition. It often means embracing uncertainty and stepping outside our comfort zones. Believe that within you, you have the power to build a solid foundation for designing your own path, knowing that you are supported and loved along the way. Have faith in your abilities to take bold steps forward, even when things feel unfamiliar or challenging. Remember, your future self believes in you to take the first steps, no matter how small. There is only one way to find out if it'll work, and that is to try.

And in the night, we fly with such velocity that our feet feel as though they barely touch the ground. We are not running away but running to. Our destination is not one with an ending but that of a companion, a hitchhiker of shared tales that become our own making. Quickest may appear in the form of a reward, relief, or an ending to wrap oneself in the comfort of completion. Turmoil and strife pass me by as if its view was that of a window seat on a locomotive. These are positive times indeed, exciting and thrilling. Cherish all that is unseen down this road, for thy companion will present itself soon enough.

The Fool.

I carry hope in my pocket as if it were a shiny penny found heads up on an unsuspecting path. I often struggle to stay in my thoughts without a destination, for my mind is but a dreamer—always searching, filled with wonder and delight, as often as it is equally consumed by worry, wishing those visions to pass more fleetingly, and with less discomfort, to see the world through the lens of a fool —childlike, without a care or cause, everything that stands in front of me is an adventure. Now, who will I become today, I ask myself?

There is no greater reward than to relish in these thoughts of opportunity that lie ahead. No choices to be made, no crossroads, for all I see is but a path before me and two feet to take me there.
